Credit redemption for parking coupons at multiple locations

THE Government of Selangor is running a series of schemes across several local councils for the exchange of unused paper vouchers for Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) App Credits.

The exchange will be made through its wholly owned subsidiary SSDU Innovations Sdn Bhd (SSDU).

This stands in conjunction with the state’s decision that starting April 1, all local councils are required to completely migrate from the paper coupon system to the SSP.

The chairman of the local government, public transport and new village development committee, Ng Sze Han, assured that unused and unexpired coupons could be transferred to the respective user’s SSP account.

“We recognize that people are concerned that their unused coupons will be considered invalid due to this migration.

“Users can transfer coupon values into their SSP accounts starting March 26.

“To enable this process, download and install the SSP app available on Google Play, App Store and Huawei Store, and register as an SSP user to redeem the coupons,” it said in the statement.

At the same time, SSDU will organize credit exchange programs for parking coupons at several locations.

Programs will be held at Dewan Serbaguna MBSJ, SS15 March 26-28 (10am-5pm), Dewan Sivik MBPJ April 2-3 (10am-4pm) and Dewan Jenjarum MBSA, Section 11 April 9 and 10 April (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

All coupons from the various local councils will be accepted for redemption at these sessions.

Those who miss the exchange programs can still do the exchange at Innovative Technologies & Systems Sdn Bhd (LITS) office at F-4-G, Jalan Multimedia 7/AG, I-City, Section 7, Shah Alam.

Additionally, from April 1 to 30, paper voucher holders can visit their respective local council offices for this purpose, but each council can only process the vouchers in their respective area.

Meanwhile, SSDU is actively recruiting eKupon SSP agents in Selangor.

Recruited agents include convenience stores and postal centers that display SSP eKupon stickers.

Currently, there are 263 KK Super Marts across Selangor that offered parking and charging payments through the SSP app.

Citizens are only required to provide their license plate number and parking duration, as well as provide an email address for digital receipt, if required.

With the eKupon SSP, agents will be able to offer parking payment services through the SSP app without smart devices.

To date, there are 1,963,241 registered SSP application users.
